Next Wednesday I’m helping host a Spring Social
for the girls and women in our congregation.
We’ll share childhood photos and stories and get to know
one another better. After nibbling on cookies and cupcakes and
sipping strawberry water we’ll hear a talented young lady sing
“Thank Heaven For Little Girls.”
It should be a lot of fun!
Please remember to say a prayer for our soldiers. Many of them have served in several wars and are just plain tired, many are injured and many never did get to come home. For standing between us and danger you have our gratitude.Thank you our brave and true heroes. And thank you to their spouses and families. We love you.
I’m just finishing my watercolor and drawing classes at the University of Utah. My teachers Diana Gardiner and Susan Beck have been amazing. This painting was made from a photograph I took at the Garden Park LDS Church meetinghouse in Salt Lake City. A beautiful little stream flows through the property which used to be a mansion and was later given to the Church. I’ve hosted several Halloween carnivals for children at church and thought it would be a good setting for a book about creating Halloween fun I set a pumpkin on an old brick wall and took the picture. The photo will be the cover for my Halloween book that is almost ready to go out.
